Frequently Asked Questions

We have collected the most frequently asked questions from survey to handover, with clear answers.

Does Haustech both sell products and carry out installation?

Yes. Haustech's core difference is combining product supply and mechanical installation capability within one organisation. We can work on product only, installation only, or both together.

Which regions do you serve?

Our head office is in Çankaya, Ankara. Ankara and neighbouring provinces are our primary area for contracting and site work; product supply is nationwide.

What does being a Siemens Approved Partner mean?

It means being an authorised partner in the supply of Siemens Building Technologies products and solutions. In practice: access to the right products, current technical documentation and selection support.

Is the site survey chargeable?

The on-site survey and requirements meeting before a proposal are free of charge. Where detailed measurement, energy analysis or design work is required, scope and terms are agreed in writing beforehand.

Should I order products from the online store?

For stocked, standard items the fastest route is shop.haustech.com.tr. For project-specific, custom-size or multi-line schedules, requesting a quotation is more suitable.

Do you provide a warranty on your work?

Warranty terms defined in the contract apply to installation workmanship and supplied equipment. Equipment warranty follows manufacturer terms; workmanship warranty follows the contract scope.

Do you take on installation-only mechanical contracts?

Yes. Where the design and equipment are already in place we can work on an installation, testing and commissioning basis only. In that case we review the existing equipment selections technically before starting and report any mismatch in writing.

Can you work in an operating facility without shutting it down?

Yes — most of our retrofit work is carried out in operating facilities. Where a shutdown is unavoidable we plan temporary lines, by-passes or out-of-hours working, and the outage duration is committed in the contract.

What project sizes do you take on?

We work across scales, from commercial buildings and industrial facilities to residential projects and existing operations. A single boiler room retrofit and the complete mechanical installation of a multi-block development both fall within our scope.

Can I improve efficiency without replacing my boiler?

Often yes. Hydronic imbalance, a fixed high flow temperature, uncontrolled circulation and an incorrect valve characteristic can all be corrected without replacing the boiler and deliver measurable savings. We measure and analyse first, then propose the intervention.

When is a manifold retrofit necessary?

When the number of circuits grows, when capacity changes, when circuits cannot be measured or isolated individually, and when corrosion or leakage appears. A manifold retrofit is usually a short-outage, high-impact intervention.

Do you also supply products for heating systems?

Yes. We also supply equipment without taking the installation work; control products are available directly at shop.haustech.com.tr and our team supports the technical selection.

Can you upgrade the control of my existing fan coil system?

Yes. Replacing room thermostats, control valves and actuators can be done without touching the existing fan coil units and gives fast results in both comfort and energy consumption.

What measurements do you take at commissioning?

On the water side, flow rates and differential pressure; on the air side, grille flow rates and duct pressures. On the control side we verify valve and damper stroke and validate sensors. Results are reported in the handover file.

How long does a boiler room renewal take?

It depends on scope and existing condition. Boiler and pump replacement alone can often be completed within a few days; a complete renewal including manifolds and the control layer takes longer but can be phased. We issue a day-by-day programme after the survey.

Can a boiler be replaced during the heating season?

Yes, but it requires planning. Temporary heating, staged replacement in cascade systems or short outage windows make in-season work possible. Risks and outage duration are shared in writing at proposal stage.

My pump is noisy — what could be causing it?

The most common causes are high velocity from excess head, air trapped in the system, insufficient suction pressure (cavitation) and unbalanced flow distribution. Replacing the pump without measuring usually does not solve it.

What does a hydronic balancing exercise deliver?

More even temperature distribution at the same capacity, a lower required flow temperature and consequently lower fuel and pump energy consumption. On completion, measured flow rates are reported for every circuit.

How quickly does an automation investment pay back?

It depends on building type and the current state of control. In an uncontrolled system, basic steps such as room control and flow temperature compensation are usually the fastest-returning items. A realistic estimate is only possible after reviewing consumption data and carrying out a survey.

Do you supply products for my existing automation system?

Yes. We supply Siemens field devices, valves, actuators, sensors and thermostats with technical selection support; the products are also available at shop.haustech.com.tr.

Retrofit or full replacement — which is right?

The decision depends on the condition of the existing infrastructure, remaining life, any change in capacity requirement and tolerance for downtime. After the survey we present both scenarios comparatively so the decision is made on data.

How many days will my facility be down during a retrofit?

Our aim is zero or the shortest possible outage. Depending on scope a temporary solution can be installed; where an outage is required its duration is committed at proposal stage and written into the programme.

Will you commission an installation you did not build?

Yes. We provide independent commissioning and balancing. In that case any design or installation non-conformities we find are reported, and the corrective scope is assessed separately.

What does the handover file contain?

Pressure test records, the hydronic balancing report with measured flow rates per circuit, the equipment schedule with technical documents, control setpoints and operating instructions.
